While on a shopping trip in Los Angeles' Little Tokyo Plaza, Calloway (Cally) Wilde finds herself involved in more than just a mugging when she steps in to save a beautiful young Asian woman from being accosted. Before long, Cally is immersed in the world of murder, drug lords and the age-old, highly sensual art of Geisha. And right beside Cally is her lover, Detective Evan Paley, working to solve all the crimes involved and apprehend the evil culprits. Now, if they can just figure out from the immense and diverse cast of characters who's telling them the truth (and who's not) about the circumstances. Cally and Evan soon find out that trusting the wrong people can be LETHAL.
This follow-up to Shattuck's fantastic debut novel, LOADED, is a rapid-paced, spit-fire whodunit that kept me up late to finish it. With so many twists and turns, and so many unusual characters, I became totally immersed and could not put it down. I can't wait for more of Cally's antics and of Evan being there to support her all the way. Great characterization and storyline!
Things are heating up in Los Angeles again, and not just in
the steamy relationship between Cally Wilde and the
handsome Detective Evan Paley. As Cally well knows,
sometimes even an attraction as hot as theirs
can be LETHAL. This time Cally, on a shopping trip to LA's
Little Japan, stumbles on a crime that hurtles her into the
world of drugs, murder and the sensual art of the geisha.
