Hannah Young had survived a horrific terrorist attack and now this Chief Nursing Officer only wants normal. She has absolutely no desire to go CHASING DANGER but after a knife wielding maniac tries to kill her she must turn to the one man who turned her on then disappeared with out a word.
Dax Costas, NSA Agent and former Delta Force operative, had spent one passionate night with Hannah but certainly hadn't planned on it being a one night stand. Duty however had its own plans and for two weeks he was on a mission and was unable to contact her. When he returns he can't get past her anger to explain what he can. He's still under orders to keep some secrets but had gotten clearance to fill Hannah in a little.
The last thing he expected was to find she has a stalker and immediately his protective instincts kicks in for this smart, sexy woman who has filled his head since day one. Whoever it is will stop at nothing to see Hannah dead and Dax will do whatever he must to protect her because he has to know if there is more to their attraction. Is it just sex in the heat of the moment or something that will last a lifetime?
CHASING DANGER is a fantastic, fast paced, cannot put down book by author Katie Reus. Dax and Hannah are the perfect match for each other. She has an inner strength to overcome a less than perfect childhood to become the woman she is now and he is an alpha, with a determination and protective streak that is just what Hannah needs. I loved it when Hannah thinking she was getting a little of her pride back (when she thought Dax had walked out) and she does her own disappearing. I did feel for Dax because he seemed to be caught between a rock and a hard place due to the rules he works by and only after given permission can he explain his job to Hannah. He, of course, then hopes she will understand and give him another chance. This is a short story, only about 90 pages, but it is tied to Ms. Reus's Deadly Ops series one of my favorites and I can't wait to get my hands on the next one.
