The members of the Women's Murder Club are again involved in solving an unusual case of murder. This time it directly involves their newest member, lawyer Yuki Castellano.

While shopping with Yuki and Lt. Lindsay Boxer, Yuki's mother, Keiko, collapses. After being rushed to San Francisco Medical Center emergency room, Keiko is doing fine following treatment and is preparing to go home. Then Yuki receives devastating news that her mother has died after being given the wrong medication.

Not willing to let the matter rest, Yuki asks her friends, Lindsay, Claire and Cindy, to help her investigate. What they find is that this series of events -- healthy patients about to be released then mysteriously dying -- has happened quite a few times in the past at this medical center. In fact, the center is involved in a highly publicized multiple lawsuit case currently being tried at the local courthouse.

Their investigation turns up some pretty gruesome facts and some very shady characters. Will the Women's Murder Club be able to figure out what's going on and who's playing God before more lives are lost?

Patterson and Paetro have collaborated again to write a thrilling page-turner with great depth of characters and an exciting plot. This is one of the best mystery series around. Can't wait for book six!
