Former Army Calvaryman Quill McKenna is hired to protect

Stonechurch, the powerful man who owns the Stonechurch
mines in
Colorado. Accidents have put his life in danger and
Ramsey is concerned
for his daughter's life as well. Even the mine is having
unexplained
problems.
Ann refuses to leave her father to attend school
elsewhere,
removing her from the dangers, and prefers to continue her
education
with her aunt Beatrice. Beatrice's husband was killed in
the mines leaving
her half ownership and living with them. When confronted
by Ramsey as
to whom he should consider hiring to become tutor and
protector of his
daughter, there's only one fiery redheaded woman Quill
would even
suggest. Katie "Calico" Nash is a spitfire gun totting
bounty hunter that
would work well undercover as Ann's teacher.
If only Quill could control what he feels for the contrary
woman. She
doesn't fit the mold as other women take pride in and
takes orders from
no one. The little spitfire is a pro with the gun and
agrees to protect Ann
while under the guise of teacher. Even Beatrice is
unaware of her true
identity.
Calico and Quill are quickly realizing the fast growing

climb. Calico has been on her own hunting down the worst
of the worst,

to give her trust to Quill while working together in

especially of reviving the Wild West.
