Evelyn has had a very hard life. Evelyn works the streets
just to survive. That is until she meets Lucian. Lucian
gives her everything that she wants. Evelyn has never been
so happy in her life. Not only because Lucian gives her
everything that she could ever want or need, but their
love
life is out of this world.
Parker Hughes is someone from Evelyn's past. He wants her
back and will do anything to get her back. No matter what
the cost. Lucian to spare any pain to Evelyn cuts a deal
with Parker. Evelyn is not happy with this at all and is
going to let both men know that she doesn't need either
one
of them.
BREAKING OUT by Lydia Michaels is a combination of Pretty
Women and Fifty
Shades of Gray. While the story line is a bit steamy, it
isn't as bad as Fifty Shades. Since BREAKING OUT is the
second
book in the trilogy, I feel it would be best to
read the first one.
I think I would have enjoyed BREAKING OUT more, if I knew
the
entire back story. BREAKING OUT doesn't bring the reader
up to
date on what happened in the previous book. It is
however
interesting how Lydia Michaels makes you use your
imagination with some of the scenes.
BREAKING OUT is a good book, but I would suggest reading
the first one and
than this one.
Second in the darkly compelling, sexually-charged
contemporary romance Surrender trilogy, in which two men
vie
for the mind, body, and heart of a woman who may never
give
in to their wishes—or her own.
Evelyn “Scout” Keats has left behind her painful past of
surviving on the streets, and is now living in the
luxurious
penthouse master suite of Hotel Patras with her lover,
billionaire Lucian Patras. But what she doesn’t know is
the
price Lucien paid for her freedom.
To protect Scout’s life, Lucian cut a deal with a
dangerous
man from her past, Parker Hughes. He swore to stay away
from
her for thirty days, even though he knows Parker will be
fighting to keep them apart for good and take Scout as his
own.
Yet neither man realizes that Scout is not about to be
used
as a prize or a bargaining chip for any man’s power play—
and
she falls back on her hard-earned self-respect and courage
to show both men that the only person she truly needs is
herself.
But Lucian has other plans.
