A Christmas anthology is a perfect way to get to know
these
three authors, with stories to touch your heart and warm
your spirit while the weather is cold. A MISTLETOE
CHRISTMAS provides fun stories of romance set in a town
called Mistletoe, Texas.
SANTA'S MISTLETOE MISTAKE by Carla Cassidy. Jake Hanson
has
bad memories of Christmas, and hates all the local fuss
about selling mistletoe which grows in the area, but
cannot
avoid it. In the crowded café he shares a table with
Melody Martin from Dallas, the widowed dance teacher who
bought a house near his eight months ago. Chatting about
her little girl is a safe way to pass the meal, but
unexpectedly Jake starts to wish for a closer
relationship.
He'd thought he was done with women. Arranging a Santa
wagon ride for kids is harmless though, isn't it?
A MERRY LITTLE WEDDING by Cathy McDavid. A cold wonderland
greets Emma Sturlacky as she returns to town for a
Yuletide
wedding. She hasn't visited since jilting her fiance Nick
Hayes, and regrets the gossip that will spread. However
she hadn't bargained for running into Nick immediately, or
the rush of feeling she has for him. It was his fault she
left - wasn't it?
MISTLETOE MAGIC by Marin Thomas. A store selling herbal
remedies and candles has added a children's magic potion
to
help them dream of toys on Christmas Eve. The harmless
herbs are popular and Finley McCarthy's trade is good. She
needs the customers, as she's sunk all her money into this
business. Cooper Hollis doesn't want to hear this hippy
lady accuse his elderly father of shoplifting. That's no
way to talk about a disabled man. And what would his dad
want with crystals? Trouble is, she might be right. Could
Cooper bring himself to admit it and make amends?
My favourite story was the third one, perhaps because this
rancher raises deer, but all three tales bring us indoors
with spices and laughter, and outdoors with ranch people
and bells. We feel the festive season in a very real way
and see how lives are changed by making time for other
people. I enjoyed visiting this small town and maybe we'll
get to drop in again next year. Meanwhile the authors have
other books available so we don't have to wait that long
to
read more of their great, tender romances.
In the small Texas town of Mistletoe, the pretty little plant definitely lives up to its reputation for eliciting kisses!
Santa's Mistletoe Mistake by Carla Cassidy
Little Libby asked Santa to bring her mommy a prince for Christmas: cowboys need not apply. That means cattleman Jake Hanson is definitely out. But the Man in Red works in mysterious ways….
A Merry Little Wedding by Cathy McDavid
Maid of honor Emma Sturlacky wishes she could enjoy the preparations for her mom's Christmas wedding. If only it felt less like an echo of her own disastrous engagement. (And if only her handsome ex-fiancé, Nick Hayes, wasn't one of the groomsmen!)
Mistletoe Magic by Marin Thomas
Who's got more baggage: Finley McCarthy, the struggling single mom of boisterous twin boys, or Cooper Hollis, the jaded rancher caring for his curmudgeonly dad? Tough call. More important, will that baggage squash their chance at a budding romance?
