Romance Suspense

Jane Spyrus comes from a family of spies, all working for B.L.I.S. in British Columbia. Her mother and father were killed in a car explosion when she was only five. Living with her gran Maggie since their death, Maggie is now wheelchair ridden after an accident on the job. Jane chose to join the technical end of B.L.I.S. developing pink vibrator mini- missile launchers, tampon trackers and the such for the technical department, rather than to follow in the footsteps of her predecessors as agents. Jane's life is waylaid when her neighbor Edie Andretti comes missing.

Abel Andretti, Edie's brother, has arrived at the airport from London to visit his sister and apply for a job locally, only to be left waiting for Edie arrival. Jane and her Gran end up involved in helping Abel find his sister, suspecting that she has been kidnapped after voicing her suspicions regarding Ensecksi Satellites and their intent for microwave mind- controlling technology. Headed out in Jane's techy loaded van, trouble- on-wheels Gran, Abel, Gran's vicious little pint sized dog Tinkle (who has a habit of tinkling on the legs) and Edie's cat Mr. Tibbs, they hit the road to track Edie through Jane's tampon tracker, borrowed by Edie without knowing the secret product. Trekking to Sonora, California they end up drawn into the service and working for B.L.I.S. as operatives to endeavor shutting down the Ensecksis. Physically attracted to each other, Abel and Jane work side by side as operatives while Jane is giving in to her sexual fantasies.

This search and spy story is full of imagintive, ingenious little gadgets to keep the reader on their toes. Lynsay Sands makes THE LOVING DAYLIGHTS so amusing while keeping you on the edge of your seat. I enjoyed this creation, which kept me amused throughout with all the techy gadgets and the way this woman used them. Her characters are extremely colorful and unusual and do not fail to keep the reader glued to each and every word. I definitely recommend THE LOVING DAYLIGHTS for a most clever and enjoyable read.

SUMMARY

Shy Jane Spyrus loves gadgets. She can build anything B.L.I.S.S. needs in the international organization's fight against crime—although its agents aren't exactly lining up at her door. Some of them think her inventions are a little too . . . well, innovative. Like her shrink-wrap prophylactic constraints or her spray-on truth serum.

Of course, you can't use wacky inventions to fix all your problems; Jane knows that better than anyone. Her neighbor has been kidnapped, driving that point home. She will have to team up with another human being—and Abel Andretti arrives just in time. He will help Jane find her neighbor, stop a villain, and, most of all, he will show Jane how to love the daylights out of something without batteries.
