Melena Salera receives a message from attorney Theo Sauvage to meet with him and soon finds her life a confusing mess. Theo Sauvage doesn't trust this Mel Salera, until he learns that she didn't know that his friend and client Sarah Davidson was her grandmother. He thought to bring Mel to justice for the death of Sarah he certainly didn't plan on falling for her. When danger comes to her doorstep he has no choice but to send for his brother and friends who just happen to be a part of a Special Forces group known as Shadow Soldiers to help him keep her safe and find out who the killer is.

DARK ABANDON had me from the first word in this fast paced, action packed book. The characters, the place and the intriguing situation they find themselves in are quite believable and at times downright frightening. Melena is a no nonsense woman who gets the shock of a lifetime finding she was adopted and had lost out on the chance of meeting her grandmother. Theo isn't exactly welcoming but when he finds out the truth he lets his attraction grow. Author Kallie Lane does drama and danger in a way that has your heart racing and your fingers turning pages as fast as they can. I have the next book and can't wait to get started on it.
