Romance Contemporary

An ad placed by a 37 year old man seeking a loving woman to share his life at his ranch, catches Cherilyn Bixby's attention. No longer having any ties, the sensible and pretty schoolteacher wants to have something of her own which this sensible Texas rancher might give to her. With her pureblooded Maine Coon cat, Arabella (straight from New England) in hand, she's still four hours later in the rain waiting for Cole Witherspoon to show up.

By the time Cole shows to collect her, the cat is an immediate issue and an ultimatum by Cherilyn that the cat stays in the house, or she will return back across Texas. Taking care of the household, consisting of Uncle Abe, nephew Nate and brother Davis, cooking and caring for these men completes "Cherry" until Arabella is in jeopardy. Choosing between a stable life with love and losing Arabella, the only family she knows, this rancher is about to find out what this gritty woman is made of when the fur flies.

This cute little Santa Rita series short story about a headstrong woman and a stubborn man learning to compromise to achieve the dreams they each have, is heartwarming. Never underestimate this schoolteacher and her love for her animal. Complete with humor, emotion and genuine caring, you can't help but enjoy HELP WANTED: WIFE

SUMMARY

When practical-minded rancher Cole Witherspoon decides his
ranch needs a woman's touch, he goes about filling the
vacancy in the most sensible way. He places a help-wanted
ad. He never suspects just how many lessons he'll learn
when
an out-of-work schoolteacher answers the ad.

Cherilyn Bixby is a sensible person, capable around the
house, and pretty, but she makes the mistake of wearing
her
best dress to meet Cole--and his huge, undisciplined dog.
She's not overly fond of dogs, nor is her big, red cat. A
cat that will not be living in the barn, no matter what
Cole
says.

Romance is definitely in the air, but when the fur flies,
Cherilyn sticks to her guns, and Cole must decide if his
future just might be held in the tufted paws of Cherilyn's
beloved feline friend.
