Romance Contemporary

Meg Koranda, a free spirit and daughter of famous parents, goes to Wynette, Texas to be maid of honor at her best friend's wedding. Lucy Jorik, daughter of the President, is marrying the perfect man, Ted Beaudine. A well known golf pro and mayor of Wynette, he is held in high esteem by all the townspeople. But is he the perfect man for Lucy? Meg doesn't think so. When Lucy runs from the altar and goes into hiding, everyone knows Meg is the reason for Lucy's change of heart. Meg is left to face the angry residents of the town alone. Of course, Meg has been a professional traveler who has been cut loose of the financial support of her parents. She needs to grow up and fend for herself. She finds herself totally broke with a broken down car and no place to sleep. Arrested as a vagrant and charged with skipping out on a hotel bill, she is reduced to working at the club behind a drink cart to pay off her obligation. With every step, she seems to alienate the townspeople, while at the same time, becomes the person she is intended to be. As Meg becomes self-reliant and finally has a purpose, the purely physical relationship she started with Ted quickly begins to turn to something unexpected. This quirky young woman is feisty, opinionated, and capable of keeping everyone on pins and needles. Meg is a "fly by the seat of your pants" girl you can't help but fall in love with. Ted...well Ted is every woman's dream; a caring, gorgeous man and fantastic lover. I love being surprised with the unexpected throughout CALL ME IRRESISTIBLE. I, also, love the humor in this story. CALL ME IRRESISTIBLE is the first I have read by Susan Elizabeth Phillips but will definitely not be the last!

SUMMARY

RSVP TO THE MOST RIOTOUS
WEDDING OF THE YEAR!
Lucy Jorik is the daughter of the former President of the United States. Meg Koranda is the offspring of legends. One of them is about to marry Mr. Irresistible—Ted Beaudine—the favorite son of Wynette, Texas. The other is not happy about it. Not happy at all.... But even though Meg knows breaking up her best friend’s wedding is the right thing to do, no one else seems to agree. Faster than Lucy can say, “I don’t,” Meg becomes the most hated woman in town. A town where she’s stuck with a dead car, an empty wallet, and a very angry bridegroom. Broke, stranded, and without her famous parents at her back, Meg is sure she can survive on her own wits. What’s the worst that can happen? Lose her heart to the one and only Mr. Irresistible? Not likely. Not likely at all....
