TAKEN is a compilation of six short stories by author Lora
Leigh. All were previously published but together for the
first time in the edition except for Night Hawk. Night Hawk
is a really short story (11 pages) and is the only story
that is the first time in print.
Reno's Chance -- brings us Raven who has longed for her best
friend's brother, a Navy SEAL. She doesn't know that Reno
has been staying away from her but will soon be on a
mission to take her heart as his own.
For Maggie's Sake -- Navy SEAL Joe finds his ex-lover in
custody and thinks she is hiding information on a crime.
Maggie might be hiding information but it has nothing to do
with the crime her husband was involved in but on the
marriage she had endured.
Atlanta Heat -- Emerson has always had a thing for Macey,
but the SEAL is under the command of her overprotective
godfather, so he stays off limits. Until an attempted
kidnapping puts them in close quarters giving neither of
them space to hide what they feel.
Night Hawk -- Travis Caine and Lillian Belle have been
meeting for three years, late at night, with no names

Cooper's Fall -- Former ranger Ethan Cooper has been
watching pretty Sara Fox from his window and he likes what

Sheila's Passion -- Ex-Marine, Nick has been through some
bad stuff, but Sheila was just the challenge he needed. She
has sworn off love but she finds temptation in the idea of
friends with benefits. Too bad her heart really wants more.
TAKEN will take you to six enchanting places while all of
them detonate in sensual delight. Author Lora Leigh is a
master of erotic pleasure and though these stories are all
short ... they are not short on pleasure and action. Just
what you expect from Ms. Leigh and her heroes and the women
they fall for. The men are always strong but the women are
just as tough and don't hide behind their men ... they stand
beside them and often up to them.
My one complaint on this
book would be with Night Hawk. As readers of Ms. Leigh will
recognize this one is connected to her Maverick
and Black Jack books. It seemed almost like a deleted
scene rather than a short story and didn't seem to fit in
with the rest. That said TAKEN is still a fantastic book for
when you need a pick me up and don't have a lot of reading
time ... just grab this book, pick a story and enjoy.
