Celeste McMillan is an ambitious young woman employed with Lowenstein, Barrett and Galindo in L.A. with a goal of climbing the corporate ladder at record-breaking speed and making the youngest partner in eight years at twenty-nine. All these visions take a side line when she is accosted by Thomas Manning, the majority owner of Viscount Enterprises and one of their most important clients. Caleb her boss, knows it was Manning making the advances but fears losing the Viscount account would be extremely detrimental to them. The option left to Celeste is to take a couple of weeks off and vacation far away, perhaps Hawaii.
Two days later Celeste arrives in Hilo, Hawaii and arrives at her rental , Aunty Nanette's house. Coming to her aid to help with the lock and luggage is a Hawaiian Adonis. Kanoe Anakalea is the most gorgeous and sexy man she has ever seen and feels an instant attraction. Kanoe begins to show Celeste all the adventures life has in store which she has never alluded to before. The only interest for her has been the constant drive for success, inherited from her mother. But when they finally have sex, she experiences the hottest and erotic sex play she's never before dreamed of. Only with Kanoe can she open up and become herself. Kanoe portrays himself as just a weekend hula dancer but has many other facets to his life than she could ever imagine. The closer the end of her visit approaches, neither feel secure enough to declare the love they feel and Kanoe believes he isn't good enough for her. Watching her stand in line to board the plane nearly destroys him. Is this the end of a truly beautiful and honest love or just another sexual fling for this haole?
Revisiting the beautiful Hawaii through the eyes of a native gave me insight to other wonders of the state that I have never seen. The passion is fiery and sizzling between these two young people. Hang on to your seat as they have sexual moves that might reach out and bite you. NEVER LET ME GO is a wonderful and warm romance between two cultures and two unlikely people. The author has a way with words and the knowledge of Hawaii which makes the story interesting and colorful. This is the second book I have read by Jennifer Haymore and will not be the last.
