THE PROFESSIONAL is an action filled erotica with a number of twists and turns that only author Kresley Cole can provide. She takes you into a number of different countries...from Nebraska to Russia, to Paris to places where bullets fly and darker sexual needs exist. The book, for me, started out like gangbusters, with Natalie a tough cookie who doesn't just follow along where Sevastyan leads, but somewhere along the storyline, she fell too much under his erotic choice spell and lost herself. I also wish she had more time with her father, getting to know more of her heritage, because that is after all why she was seeking her biological parents. Don't get me wrong I did enjoy this book, though I am not into BDSM, so be warned that is Sevanstyan's world. The emotional ride that both Natalie and Sevastyan find themselves on and the pressure for him to open up took a long time coming and might have been easier in little bits at a time instead of one long narrative. I am glad I waited for all three parts in one, because despite all my feelings on what might be considered drawbacks for me, I still would have been waiting for the next installment of THE PROFESSIONAL to find out what happens to this couple.
