Lt. Margaret "Margo" Peterson has set herself up as bait to bring down a sleazy abduction ring. She had hoped to use Rowdy Yates as her back up but she didn't think Avery, his new wife, would like that much. So instead she gets Dashiel Riske as her partner. Reluctantly ... because this six foot four laid-back, masculine, charmer is a DASH OF PERIL to her heart.

Dash has always seen beneath his brother's lieutenant's cold, tough façade. He sees a kick-butt woman, who is still very much a woman and one he wants. When an instinct has him following her home one evening he is in time to help her when she is involved in a car accident ... an accident that was on purpose. He finds himself immersed in her world. To his mind there is nothing sexier than a strong woman doing her job and he can afford to watch her do it and help by giving this dedicated woman someone to lean on when she needs it.

DASH OF PERIL is a steamy page turner that will leave you wanting more. Having met both Margo and Dash in previous books by author Lori Foster I was happy to see their book come out. I really like Margo, she is tough, no nonsense (especially when it comes to cops) hardworking woman with a cold pathetic family background. I think Dash brought out the softer side of her while letting her know she can still be the ball-buster lieutenant she has to be to get the job done. To me they make the perfect couple with each having a life/job they love and now they have each other. I should mention now that there is a fair amount of steamy sex burning more than a few pages between Margo and Dash, plus a lot of tenderness that leaves the reader in little doubt of their feelings.

Reese, Logan, Rowdy and Cannon are all over this story as secondary characters enhancing the storyline with humor and camaraderie that only cops, brothers and friends who will put themselves on the line for you, can bring into the mix. I will warn readers that the subject matter of the case they are investigating might be a little disturbing to them as it deals with abduction of women for drugged porn films. I am still partial to the Rowdy and Reese's books but DASH OF PERIL is a very good read and now I am ready for the next one.
