Harry's time has finally come. His family has prophesied
that he will be instrumental in a great future for his
people. He is half human and half Alvian...born of an
emotionless alien mother and raised and loved by his
father's human family. He dreams of having a human wife and
family, but as things go, it looks more like his dreams will
be HARRY'S SACRIFICE.
A ship is found deep in the ice and only one of the Hara
bloodline can open it: Harry. Along with him is the Alvian
scribe, Roshin, to record the historic event. Waiting is
the Alvian officer Cormac, who though emotionless as almost
all his race, he is immediately attracted to and protective
of the scribe.
All three face dilemmas of their own...Harry can keep his
dreams or fulfill his destiny and find more than he ever
imagined. Roshin can follow her heart: a heart she knows
she has because she too had been fostered by humans. Cormac
must deal with the fact that the woman who would be his
Resonance Mate will also belong to a human. What none of
them can imagine is the change that will face all their
peoples when Harry opens the doorway to that ship.
HARRY'S SACRIFICE is a captivating look into the world of
aliens and humans. I will admit though I have read almost
everything else by author Bianca D'Arc, this is the first
of the Resonance Mate books. I found it fascinating, a very
believable look into the "what if..." and "are we alone"
questions most of us have. Harry does come off a little
wishy-washy but in an understandable way. He had a dream
for his life and the reality takes him by surprise, so it
takes awhile to face the fact that what he has with Ro and
Cormac is good and right for them. I really enjoyed the way
Hara Prime (he was in the ship...and you will have to read
the book to know more) came back and kicked butt in such a
politically-correct way that had the councilors scrambling
to no avail. There wasn't a lot of time for the mates to get
together, but Ms. D'Arc always finds time for a good bit of
well written and steamy sex. HARRY'S SACRIFICE is a great
story and now...I'll have to go back and catch up on the
other books of the Resonance Mates series.
The prophesied time has arrived and Harry—born of an alien
mother and a human father—must journey to the top of the
world to unlock a mysterious ship found trapped in an icy
crevasse. A ship only someone of Harry’s bloodline can open.
Roshin, a young Alvian scribe, is sent to record events as
they unfold. Beneath her remote, icy beauty, Harry feels an
unwanted hum of attraction. He has always dreamed of a warm,
giving relationship with a human. Not a cold, emotionless
Alvian.
Then there’s Cormac, an Alvian officer sent to head the
expedition. When all three are trapped inside the vessel,
Harry is confronted with an unexpected dilemma—cling to his
dream of a human bond, or answer the call of fate and form a
lifelong alliance with not just one, but two aliens.
Warning: Harry’s all grown up and ready for action—with not
one but two Alvians. Theirs could be a permanent ménage
relationship that will resonate in your heart long after the
last page is turned.
