"Stunning conclusion to the trilogy"

Thriller

It all started when Henrik "HP" Pettersson picked up a cell phone and was asked, "Wanna play a game?" Since then, he's had both his life and his perception of reality turned inside out as the Game (a real life video game complete with goals to accomplish) hooked him on the adrenaline rush of being part of something larger. HP wants to find the Game Master, the mastermind behind orchestrating the events of the Game, but even more so he craves the adrenaline rush once again. Meanwhile, his sister, Rebecca Normén, has been drawn into the Game as well. Swedish royals are coming to town for a royal wedding so the stakes are higher than ever, as the Game has gone from throwing bricks to potential terrorism. How will this real life video game end? If you haven't read the first two books, GAME and BUZZ, stop right now and read them first. While Anders de la Mott does recap the overview of the Game and some of the events that have transpired previously, the complexity of the Game and the relationships between the characters are integral to understanding BUBBLE. Without that knowledge, BUBBLE may fall flat as new readers may not comprehend just how clever this series and book truly are. We meet a whole host of new characters in BUBBLE, only to realize we've seen glimpses of them in the first two books. Part of the brilliance of BUBBLE and the trilogy as a whole is how Anders de la Motte ties the events together so neatly. Everything that happens has a purpose or objective to it and we, along with HP and Rebecca, are trying to figure out just what the Game Master has in mind. BUBBLE is the concluding book in a trilogy where nothing is as it seems and every person you meet is likely to be a character for the Game Master to manipulate. HP, as you can expect, has become quite paranoid. I can't help but like him despite his somewhat poor choices and rambling paranoia. Rebecca, on the other hand, remains an enigma until the very end as we hope against hope that she will finally see the bigger picture and save herself. Anders de la Mott keeps the intensity and intrigue levels high in this stunning conclusion!

SUMMARY

No one gets out alive . . . HP could never have imagined he’d become entwined in a chaotic and dangerous game of life and death when he picked up a lost cell phone on a commuter train. He thought he’d escaped. Now, his paranoia quickly grows to mania, as he is convinced that the Game Master and past characters are following him and that the police are watching him. HP decides he must finish one last assignment and expose the Game Master’s secrets once and for all—no matter what it costs him. What he uncovers is a potential link between his own father’s past and the Game— blurring the boundary between it and real life more than ever.
