DRAGOS TAKES A HOLIDAY is a slice-of-life short story about Dragos and Pia, the original couple from the first book of the Elder Races series, Dragon Bound. The story is a catch up tale as to what this popular couple has been up to recently. Dragos is a dragon Wyr; rich, powerful, and leader of a large contingent of Wyr. After a series of crises in his world and taking care of some business to close up some holes in the upper levels of the ranks of his empire; Dragos decides it is time for a vacation. He feels the need to enjoy some downtime with his wife, Pia, and their newborn son, far away from the pressures of his business and his world. Actually, Dragos has been tricked into the vacation idea by Pia; who left books about sunken treasure around the apartment designed to entice Dragos' dragon-hoarding sensibilities. Since baby Liam has just learned to change into his dragon form; his parents decide that this would be a good time for him to spread his wings and learn to be a dragon. The family heads off to the islands for some sun, sand, and a little treasure hunting. Once in Bermuda, they learn that there is an evil, wicked fae also looking for the same treasure; the wreck of the fae ship the 'Sebille'. Unfortunately, he is no match for Dragos' might, magical power, or treasure hunting ability. DRAGOS TAKES A HOLIDAY is an enchanting little short story set in Thea Harrison's enjoyable Elder Races series. This is a world of shapeshifters, djinns, wyr, fae, and assorted other paranormal and magical beings. Each book is about another one of Dragos people. The story is set at the end of some troublesome events in the Wyr land; but can easily be read standalone to get a taste of Dragos, his people and his sentinels, and the Elder Races setting.

SUMMARY

The Bermuda Triangle. Pirates. The Peanut. What could possibly go wrong? Dragos Cuelebre needs a vacation. So does Pia, his mate. When the First Family of the Wyr head to Bermuda for some much needed R&R, it's no ordinary undertaking - and no ordinary weekend in the sun. Between hunting for ancient treasure buried beneath the waves and keeping track of their son, Liam—a.k.a. Peanut, whose Wyr abilities are manifesting far ahead of schedule—it’s a miracle that Pia and Dragos can get any time together. They're determined to make the most of each moment, no matter who tries to get in their way. And did we mention pirates?
