Audrey Miller had taken on the duty of raising her brother Toby at a young age when their parents turned their back on him. A duty she never regretted nor considered it anything less than what you did when it comes to family. But when he gets a shot at MIT and knowing there is no way she can swing it she turns to something unexpected ... a chance at a MILLION DOLLAR CHRISTMAS PROPOSAL.
Vincenzo Tomasi, Enzu to his family and friends, a billionaire workaholic, has decided he needs a mother for his orphaned niece and nephew, and is willing to sacrifice his freedom to give the little ones a better life. He sees it as no more than any other acquisition he has gone after. He cannot believe that this is not a perfect idea until he comes face to face with Audrey, who has overheard the administrative assistant discussing her having to help him find a wife. He is stunned to find though she is applying for the position, she insists that his way of finding a mama for the poor babies isn't going to get the results he wants. He is intrigued by the spirited Miss Miller and immediately puts her name of the list.
It doesn't take long for Audrey to win over his niece Franca and the baby Angilu and even the nanny Mrs. Percy and begins to make changes in his life that he didn't plan to make. He's the one in control, he never loses it so what is it about the little beauty that has him so close the edge. Is there really such a thing as love?
MILLION DOLLAR CHRISTMAS PROPOSAL is a captivating look into the cold sterile life of a wealthy man who is touched by unexpected warmth, love and pleasure beyond words. I enjoyed watching as Enzu loosens up and understands what it is that he needs to do for the happiness of not only the children in his care but for himself. Audrey, who has been kicked around by the coldness of her own parents, still holds to the feeling of family and does what she knows is right for the man and children she has grown to love. His romantic proposal was perfect and the little added touches in the end that made everyone a part of the family rounded out the story perfectly. I should have expected these lovely touches because author Lucy Monroe always gives readers just what we want and need with interesting little twists. If you are looking for a romance with just the right hits of holiday this is the book you want to pick up and keep.
