THE PIECES OF SUMMER by Wanda E. Brunstetter is book four in
The
Discovery Saga. There are six books in this series and
each one is only
128 pages. This is the story of Luke and Meredith
Stoltzfus. Months ago,
Luke left Pennsylvania to travel by bus to his uncles farm
in Indiana. Along
the way, he is met with tragedy and Meredith is left
wondering how she is
ever going to survive without him. Meredith is struggling
with a difficult
pregnancy and missing her husband who they say has been
declared
dead.
Meanwhile, her old friend from her teenage years, Jonah, is
back in Bird In
Hand Pennsylvania. He has feelings for Meredith and is
starting to allow
them to show but Meredith is very uncomfortable with them.
She is still
mourning Luke and knows not enough time has passed. She
worries about
what others will say if they find out. It's only been four
months and now her
pregnancy is starting to show. How can she go on without
Luke? Will she
be able to raise their baby on her own without him? Read THE
PIECES OF
SUMMER! You will love it.
At the same time, a young man the nurses call Eddie is lying
in a hospital
bed trying to remember who he is. He is very frustrated
that he has no
memory of his life before he woke up in the hospital. Who
is his family? Do
they miss him? Where do they think he is? One of the
nurses, Susan, is
starting to fall in love with him, but she won't let him
know. Not until he gets
his memory back. What if he has a wife somewhere?
THE PIECES OF SUMMER ends with an awesome cliff hanger as do
all the others before it
so make sure you have book five on hand before you finish.
Book five is A
Revelation of Autumn. Wanda really does a great job of
representing the
Amish and I'm sure they love her for the way she portrays
their way of life
and customs to others. It's no wonder why Wanda is one of my
very
favorite Amish authors.
Join Meredith and Luke Stoltzfus, an Amish couple who are
faced with the greatest challenge of their young lives. The
Pieces of Summer is part four of Wanda E. Brunsetter’s The
Discovery--A Lancaster County Saga.
