Romance Contemporary

Mac Culhane lived the good life as an up and coming DJ. Once he married, he gave up the wild life but still loved his job. Out with a veteran one night, he surprises everyone by signing up to become a DJ for the armed services. Even after promising his wife that he will come home, the guilt he feels and devastation he sees around him convince him to sign up for a second tour. When he is wounded, he is forced to return home to his wife and young daughter. What he finds is a disenchanted wife who informs him that she is moving on without him or Emma, their daughter. Faced with recovery from his injuries and raising a daughter he barely knows, Mac moves to his father's home in Shelter Bay. His grandfather's dementia is getting worse and he doesn't want to miss any more time with him. Mac takes a night time DJ position at the local radio station. Annie Shepherd moved to Shelter Bay after a painful divorce. Her scrapbooking store, her volunteer work, and the women she has befriended fill her life. Until she meets Mac. Now, Annie is torn between what could be and the pain of the past. As she battles the inevitable, she finds herself getting more and more involved in the lives of Mac and Emma. Ms. Ross has been a long time favorite author. The Shelter Bay series has become a nationwide favorite with many readers. CASTAWAY COVE is less dramatic in story line than some of the others but is still a very satisfying read. With likable characters and a moving story, readers can't go wrong.

SUMMARY

They’ve never met. But they’re destined for each other.... Single dad Mac Culhane has traveled to some of the world’s most dangerous war zones, but now he and his young daughter have settled in Shelter Bay, where he’s become the late-night DJ for the local radio station. The last thing he expects is to connect over the airwaves with a caller.... After a painful divorce, Annie Shepherd opened up a scrapbook store in town and started volunteering with local senior citizens. Although she loves her work, dreams of the family she longs for keep her up late, listening to Mac Culhane’s voice on the radio. When Mac and Annie finally meet in person, the attraction between them is instantaneous. But Annie isn’t ready to lay her heart on the line, and neither is Mac. Fortunately, no one in Shelter Bay is about to let a perfect match escape the magic of true love...
