Ainsley McLeon is starting a new life. It wasn't exactly
well planned out... well not planned at all. When the shot
was fired at her she drove straight to the airport and
bought the first ticket out. All she had on her were the
clothes on her back and money in her wallet. She was also
in the wilds of Montana in the middle of a blizzard driving
a crappy truck that she's sure she paid too much for. And
then she is involved in a car accident when she swerved to
miss something in the road. That something that turns out
to be ... a tiger? She has no idea that her escape would
lead
her to come face to face with LIONS, TIGERS AND SEXY BEARS,
OH MY!
Luc owns a bar in Clarksville, Montana and he's a bear
shifter. The last thing he wants is a sexy little human
coming in and messing with his very controlled life. When
he refuses to hire her to take the place of his waitress
that just went into labor, she simply starts working. She
has no choice, her stupid truck will cost money to get
repaired and she can't touch any of her credit cards in
case the shooters are looking for her.
He can't believe she just started working like he hadn't
said anything, but the atmosphere was quickly changed in
the bar especially after she laid out one customer for
getting too friendly. She has earned the shifters respect.
The last thing he wants is someone in his life... he lost
his
parents, mate and baby ... he didn't want to chance that
again. But when this ex-FBI agent gets the full story he
knows he's lost. He can't turn her away and he can't let
her get hurt again. Something that was told to him years
ago comes back to him: "Live in the moment ... and
appreciate
the time you have." He would do just that. Even if his
heart gets broken beyond repair.
LIONS, TIGERS AND SEXY BEARS, OH MY! is in a word
fantastic. I've said this a number of times in reviews but
I have to say it again ... I could not put this book down.
It is very fast paced and full of characters that readers
will find endearing and believable. Well maybe not the
shifting part but the human parts could be anyone in any
small town. Author Candace Havens did not dwell too much on
the bad guys but more on the emotional dance that Luc and
Ainsley go through together and the atmosphere of the bar
and the town. I do hope there are more books along this
line by Ms. Havens because I am ready to read them.
A Montana town where no one is who they seem....
Everything about runaway heiress Ainsley McLeon screamed
trouble—from her luscious midnight locks to her Louboutin-
clad toes. Yet sexy, stoic bar owner Luc couldn’t deny the
instant connection he felt to the tempting stranger…or the
long-dead feelings she evoked. She could work in his pub
until her truck was fixed but after that she had to leave
town for good.
Ainsley traveled with her own emotional baggage and there
was no way she'd fall for the bear-tempered Luc...no matter
how many passionate nights she spent in his bed or how safe
she felt in his muscular arms. Can these two opposites find
love in the middle of a blizzard, or will Luc's darker side
and Ainsley's past catch up with them?
