Rowdy Yates is now the owner of a bar that his new bartender has dubbed GETTING ROWDY. It is a sarcastic mocking of his many women followers, but he likes it. Truth is he's never had problems getting women, he likes them but he doesn't do relationships. But there is something about Avery Mullins that gets to him in a way no other woman has ever been able too.
Avery was working at the bar as a waitress before Rowdy bought it and had tried hard to keep her attraction to herself. Rowdy isn't a forever man and even though she may not be looking for forever right now she doesn't want to be one of many either.
She also has secrets that she wants to keep to herself but the protective streak in Rowdy won't let the past be. Of course the past comes knocking at her door frightening her right into his arms. So Avery decides to roll with being with Rowdy, taking what he has to offer and offering everything she has and when he says it's over she won't cause a fuss. She will leave with her heart in a million broken pieces.
I loved this book! GETTING ROWDY is extremely hot, emotional and edgy with just the right touches of humor. The dynamic of all the characters in this book gives you the feel that they are all there for each other as well as giving Avery and Rowdy the emotional and kicking-butt support they need.
Author Lori Foster takes the reader effortlessly through the many distinct levels that is Avery and Rowdy's relationship, making it impossible to put the book down. I got a kick out of the way Rowdy's subconscious thoughts would often push to the forefront surprising him, especially with his plans for Avery. I was so looking forward to this book when I finished Bare It All and I was not disappointed at all.
Ms. Foster has a winner with this one and the others in her Love Undercover series [Run the Risk and Bare It All]. If you haven't read the other two, and it is not necessary for the enjoyment of this story, you will want to grab them because they and GETTING ROWDY are just that good!
