Allison Ralston loves her family. Caring for her two
brothers and father is her priority. When Allie's mother
got sick and died, it was Allie that held it all together
and kept everyone going. Allie ensures her family eats, has
a clean home and clean clothes to wear. Allie ensures her
adult brothers stay out of trouble and ensures no one knows
her dad has difficulty with his memory. When longtime
family friend Josh proposed, Allie decided to marry him
since it would be best for her family and Josh. Marrying
Josh would make everyone happy. The night before her
wedding Allie got a little sentimental at her bachelorette
party and drunk dialed her ex Gavin.
Gavin Montgomery moved and built his veterinarian practice
and a life for himself in Alaska. Even four thousand miles
and time can't keep Gavin from thinking about Allie.
It had been hell to let her go. When Gavin gets a voicemail
message of Allie singing Whitney Houston's I'll Always Love
You, he decides enough is enough. Gavin flies in to the
small town of Promise Harbor, Massachusetts and crashes
Allie's wedding. Gavin quite literally sweeps her off her
feet and saves Allie from herself.
Once Gavin gets Allie to his home in Alaska he realizes she
has taken care of everyone except Allie. With a diagnosis
of walking pneumonia, physical and mental exhaustion Allie
sleeps two straight days. Gavin plans to hold onto Allie
and never let her go. Allie hopes to take a vacation from
her life and doesn't want to think about plans. Now that
Gavin has Allie in his arms what will he do when Allie's
vacation from life is at an end? Allie is happy living out
her dreams with Gavin but how long can she escape her
reality back in Promise Harbor?
