In Molly McAdam's book, FROM ASHES we meet some wonderful
characters. First is Cassidy, her
story line is a better sweet one. Cassidy lost her father
at a very early age. As her mother ignores her she
basically has to raise herself. Cassidy also
endures many problems when her mother marries a man who is
not a great step-father.
Cassie's best friend is Tyler, they grow up together. Tyler
is not only her best friend but also her savior. Tyler
keeps all of Cassie's secrets. As the two of them mature,
they became closer. When Tyler goes off to college he
takes
Cassie with him.
Lastly we meet Gage, who is Tyler's cousin
and we now have a triangle.
The first time that Cassie and Gage meet the sparks fly.
Tyler is not happy with this and does try to keep them
apart. He tells them each different lies, but in the end we
find that friendship and love can't keep them apart.
Molly McAdams writes with compassion and the true meaning of
friendship. There are parts of the story line that break
your heart. You feel the pain that these three are going
though. The story line starts when Cassie and Tyler are
young and continues as they mature.
Molly McAdams writes a very bittersweet story. FROM ASHES
was my first book by McAdams, and I'm looking forward to
reading more from her. She has been added my very long list
of favorite authors.

Too bad Tyler made it a point to remind Gage on a daily basis that he was dating her and she was completely off limits. For a year and a half, Gage and Cassidy dance around their feelings for each other as Tyler continues to keep them apart; until one day Tyler unknowingly pushes her right into Gage's arms. With Tyler unable to keep lying to them, they finally start a relationship both have been craving since their first meeting. But when an accident and disaster sends her back to Tyler and California, will Cassidy be able to come face to face with the demons from her past to live a life she and Gage deserve; or will the fact that she once again ran to Tyler be the final push that ends Cassidy and Gage for good?
