Romance Series

Gunner Ortez belongs to Elite Operations Division he's a Shadow Agent and usually he is their SHARPSHOOTER. Two years earlier he and Sydney Sloan, another agent, went against orders and headed for Peru to rescue his brother who just happened to be her fiancé Slade. It went horribly wrong and Slade died.

Sydney Sloan was ready to put the past in the past but Gunner didn't seem to understand that. She was tired of waiting. She was moving on and if he didn't want to be part of that life ... it was a shame but so be it. Slade was gone but she was alive. Finally free to act on the attraction they have for each other, they begin to explore whatever is between them... only to have it shattered almost before this new life can begin.

There is another mission in Peru. Another hostage has been located but the team doesn't know until they are there that the hostage is Slade. The man both of them thought was dead. He's alive but he is no longer the man they thought he was but then two years of torture will change a person. It doesn't take long before Slade begins to spread doubt on his own brother being a traitor to the team and to Sydney. When Sydney finds herself in more than one dangerous situation she begins to have doubts but not in the way everyone else does. She knows who she can turn to in the confusion.

SHARPSHOOTER is a fantastic, action-packed and deeply emotional read! The dangers the Shadow Agents put themselves into for others is something that you can actually feel. Then add the emotional situation with Gunner and Sydney who misunderstand one another with Slade's return. The way author Cynthia Eden finesses the characters, both main and secondary, will keep you reading because you have to know what happens next. I love this author's Shadow Agent series because they are filled with action, camaraderie, romance and hunks that aren't afraid to do what has to be done. In other words, a little something for everyone. I am already looking forward to her next book.

SUMMARY

Heart-pounding action meets smoldering desire in USA TODAY bestselling author Cynthia Eden's Shadow Agents miniseries!

Two years ago Gunner Ortez saved Sydney Sloan's life on a mission gone wrong. And ever since then, he's been watching her back. Now a hostage-rescue mission is about to blow the Elite Ops agents' lives apart once again.

Working side by side back in the jungles of Peru, the heat between Sydney and Gunner is hotter than ever-and so are the threats to their lives. With the danger escalating, Sydney knows Gunner is her only hope at successfully completing their assignment. But the ex-SEAL who arouses passion she'd only dreamed about also poses the greatest risk to the secret she carries in her heart...and in her belly.
