Half pint 4 year old Ginny Scarborough makes her sudden
appearance in the office of Maizie Sommers, a real estate
agent also dabbling in matchmaker on the side, with a
specific request for a mother. The precocious child wants
her father happy again. Her mother died 1 ½ years ago and
Danni doesn't like the lady her father has targeted as her
prospective mother. Once an aerospace engineer until the
industry was all but dead, Stone now does construction,
albeit difficult making ends meeting in a slow economy.
Always the matchmaker, Maizie and little Ginny, along
with her Aunt Virginia, concoct a detailed laid out plan.
Maizie has a client who purchased a home in Bedford,
purchasing at an affordable price, and now has the money for
needed renovations. Danni Everett began in Atlanta with a
passion for cooking. Being offered her own cooking show
called "Deserts To Die For" was the chance to pay off her
student loans and her late father's hospital bills while
doing what she loves. Contracting Stone Scarborough upon
Maizi's recommendation, a deal is struck to complete her
renovations. Conniving intervention by clever little Ginny
and Aunt Virginia soon reaps their reward. Drawn together,
Stone and Danni begin to feel the sexual pull towards one
another. The sizzling sex and warm feelings turn into a
dream that both are fully aware will not last.
WISH UPON A MATCHMAKER is a most delightful and amusing
story of a very
clever and precocious 4 year old seeking a mother and
happiness for her father. Two lonely people come together
to fulfill their dreams and enrich their lives with love.
Marie Ferrarella has not disappointed me in this book. Her
vision and imagination is apparent in every tale I have read
that she has created. As long as she keeps writing of love
and life as she does, she will forever have my devotion as
an avid fan.
Ginny Scarborough has
picked out her new mommy— Danni Everett, the local celebrity
chef who hired Ginny's widowed father, Stone, to renovate
her house. And Danni couldn't deny the immediate
zing she felt for the handsome, green-eyed
contractor…even if they were brought together by a
precocious four-year-old. So why was Stone holding back when
everything between them felt so right?
Stone's heart
had been, well, stone-cold for far too long…that is, until
he met the beautiful and bubbly chef. Still, Danni was part
of a world where Stone and his little girl didn't
belong—better to move on than risk the pain of losing love
again.
With two stubborn adults to contend with,
could little Cupid still make her dreams of a family come
true?
