Jenn McKinlay's GOING GOING GANACHE has murder, romance,
humor and more.
GOING GOING GANACHE is another installment in the Cupcake
Bakery Mystery series Even
though this book is a sequel to other of her books, you can
still figure out the characters.
The main characters Melanie and Angie are not only best
friends but own the bakery together. At times they get mad
at each other, but always forgive each other. The cast of
characters in this book make you laugh out loud. Melis also
dating Joe who is Angie's brother. Angie is in love with
Tate. Tate is also part owner of the bakery.
They have to teach magazine editors how to make cupcakes for
a big gala. Some of these people have no idea how to even
turn on a mixer. They have their work cut out for them.
If this wasn't enough, one of the editors gets murder right
outside the bakery. So not only do they have to teach them
how to cook, but are they also might be working with the
murderer. Melanie and Angie go from bakers to detectives to
try and solve this murder.
Jenn McKinlay keeps you interested in the story line. There
are no slow parts to GOING GOING GANACHE. This made me not
want to put
it down. Jenn brings humor into the story. There is some
romance, but that is not really the main story line. Jenn
McKinlay has written four other books in her Cupcake
Bakery Mystery series. I
am sure they are all as great as this one. I know I will
have to go and find the other ones.
How Jenn McKinlay came up with the names of the cupcakes
made my mouth water.
What I really liked is that at the end of the book, there
are several recipes. I really like this because now I can
bake some for me. How can any one resist a cupcake with the
name Corn Cupcakes with a Honey Brown Butter Frosting? I
know I can't.
I know I have said this before, but this is another book
that I didn't want to end. I can't wait for the next one.
A new Cupcake Bakery Mystery from New York Times bestselling author Jenn McKinlay is icing on the cupcake! After a cupcake-flinging fiasco at a photo shoot for a local magazine, Melanie Cooper and Angie DeLaura agree to make amends by hosting a weeklong corporate boot camp at Fairy Tale Cupcakes. The idea is the brainchild of billionaire Ian Hannigan, new owner of SWS (Southwest Style), a lifestyle magazine that chronicles the lives of Scottsdale’s rich and famous. He’s assigned his staff to a team-building week of making cupcakes for charity. It’s clear that the staff would rather be doing just about anything other than frosting baked goods. But when the magazine’s creative director is found murdered outside the bakery, Mel and Angie have a new team-building exercise— find the killer before their business goes AWOL.
