It doesn't have to be February 14th to be looking for a romantic read and MY COWBOY VALENTINE gives you two very good stories.
Be Mine by Jane Porter finds Cade King and Rachel James coming face to face after years of separation. She had given Cade an ultimatum and he had walked away. Rachel, though heartbroken, had moved on and now is single Mom to a little boy. Cade had burned up the rodeo circuit but had never forgotten Rachel and not for a moment did he not regret walking away from her. They still have feelings for each other but Rachel now has her son, who had developmental disabilities, to think of. She is not going to let her son get attached to Cade then have him walk away. It's up to Cade to prove his walking days are over.
In Hill Country Cupid by Tanya Michaels, Tess Fitzpatrick likes to play cupid and being the ballet teacher for little Bailey Calhoun she knows the little girl wants a mom. So when she sees Bailey's shy dad Nick Calhoun has his eyes still on his high school crush she sets out to fix the situation. While she is working on getting the two together Nick starts thinking that he is having so much fun with Tess, that she starts to weave herself in place of the old crush with a very real new feelings. How to convince Tess that she is the one is turning into a very tricky situation.
MY COWBOY VALENTINE is two-stories-in-one of sweet romance. Be Mine is touching as you see Rachel struggling to raise her autistic child alone and the patience and warmth of the strong cowboy who loves her and the little boy. This is a beautifully written and heartwarming story. Hill Country Cupid is warm and funny as Tess tries to steer Nick to the right woman and can't believe that she might be that woman. You will find a number of tender and touching moments as you get to know the two main characters. I am not a real Valentine person, though I do like the candy hearts, but I absolutely enjoyed this two-in-one book and will put it on my read again shelf.
