The second in the the series, HER KNIGHT'S QUEST gives readers a deeper look at the evil of Ifre, Duke Keirthan. His use of blood magic is striking terror in the hearts of the people of Agathia. When Lady Merewen calls the Warriors of the Mist from the bottom of the river, the last thing they expect is to find women who can match them for strength of character.

Duncan inherited his love of knowledge from his mother but his father trained him to be a warrior. When they come up from the river, Duncan is sent to a nearby Abbey that may hold the answers to the questions of Duke Kierthan is doing.

When he meets Lavinia, the woman in charge of the Abbey, he is stunned by his attraction to her. Even though the time he has to find answers is short, Duncan must prove himself to Lavinia. When he saves her life, Lavinia isn't sure whether Duncan is trustworthy or not but she gives into his desire to search the library for answers.

His knowledge of the ancient languages gives her a chance to expand her knowledge. Lavinia's use of magic is of concern to Duncan given the increasing powers of the Duke. When he attacks the Abbey, Lavinia is forced to accompany Duncan back to Lady Merewen's keep.

This series grabs the readers attention and brings us into a magical land in the continuing battle of good versus evil. Intriguing storylines compete with well written characters to keep the readers interest all the way through.

HER KNIGHT'S QUEST which is the second book in A WARRIORS OF THE MIST series gives readers greater insight into the depths to which someone will go in the quest for power. Filled with unusual situations and strong romantic components, this series is really worth reading.
