A cruel guardian threatens to use dark magic to destroy the people of Agathia. To counter its strength, the legendary Warriors of the Mist—cursed by the gods—are summoned to champion the cause. Merewen, a beauty who is even more courageous, calls upon the warriors. Gideon, their captain, knows that this is the opportune moment for redemption and the only chance for his men to reverse eternal damnation. Gideon provides both a champion and protection for Merewen, who is falling in love with this bespelled warrior. However—the enemy is fighting with a much darker power than anticipated. If Gideon falls, Merewen could lose her people and everything she holds close—including her heart.

Your book looks great. I am looking forward to reading this

Hi, Pam and Denise! Thanks for stopping by. I love strong warriors myself, so writing about these five guys was great fun for me, even if I had to work hard to tease out all their secrets!

I must admit that this is new territory for me. However, like Pam, I have been enjoying all types of genres, so I best check this one out real soon! Thanks for sharing!

Elaine, I hope you enjoy My Lady Mage if you do give it a try.

I think it's a bonus that you went through the trouble of adding the details of each horse that goes along with each god. Being an animal lover, and reading the descriptions that you wrote, I can already picture the horses in my minds' eye. Your book sounds like I would be taken on a wonderful ride through the underworld, and I would love to go there. I thought the cover was magnificent the minute I saw it pop up on my screen. It takes a minute to load since I have dial-up. Best of luck with your book, and I'm looking forward to reading it!!

I like the idea of the horses choosing the riders and that you developed the warriors based on the characteristics/personalities of the horses who chose them.
(Janie McGaugh 11:26pm July 2, 2012)
I love the work you went to bring out the characteristics of the warriors and their horses . I love stories about the

Thanks, everyone! Learning who my characters are has definitely taken me down some interesting paths! I love horses, too, and spent a long time studying the amazing pictures in a book called The Fabulous Horse by Langrish and Sweeney.

I'm a horsewoman so this certainly interests me. I read Janny Wurts' To Ride Hell's Canyon where the heroine starts off with several beautiful horses but soon it became clear she was going to keep losing them... I don't want to re-read that book. Morgan Lewellyn, I think, also wrote about a magical black horse breed.

Clare--I wouldn't like to see the horses disappear either! I especially loved the horses in Mercedes Lackey's Valdemar series.
Lindsey, Bonnie, and Deanna--I appreciate your taking the time to read the interview. I was a reader long before I was a writer, and love sitting down to get lost in a book as often as I can!

I like strong bonds between people and animals in stories.

We always forget how smart animals are, and having the horses choose the warriors was a wonderful idea. It reminds us that we are not always the smartest creatures on the planet. Cannot wait to read the books and learn more about these mysterious warriors. Thank you Cheryl
