Staci Rowland is ½ owner of Sweet Dreams, a cupcake shop in San Diego. She has been accepted to participate in the Hamilton Ramsfeld's "Premier Chef" with the prize being half a million dollars and her own TV cooking show. Staci needs to prove herself after her devastating breakup with a famous chef in Paris while in training. Now she trusts no man after being lied to and cheated on.

Being thrown into the arms of a handsome man in the elevator at the hotel gives her a quickened heartbeat. Remy Etienne (Stephens) Cruzel also needs to prove his worth as a chef. Entering the contest under the assumed name of Stephens, Remy hopes to prove that he is truly talented and not riding on the apron strings of his father and grandfather who own the famous Gastrophile Restaurant in New Orleans. The weeks of competition are televised and there is an urgency for each participant to graduate to the next level. The sizzle between Remy and Staci cannot be ignored as they are partnered for the first assignments and the kisses can't be denied. Hot boiling sex soon becomes a hot yearning in the blood with neither able to deny. Lying to Staci becomes a severe concern to Remy as his attachment is more than a fling and he desperately needs to reveal his true self in moving forward to a future with her. Finding the truth from someone other than Remy jolts Staci back to her senses and she vows never to trust a man ever again. Down to only Remy & Staci as the finalists, Remy has more at stake than the title of Premiere Chef. If only his last effort will win her over.

I was completely caught up in the competition between these two contestants in their "chef" personas as well as their romance. Both Remy & Staci are compassionate and caring people. The sizzling sex is only the start for them as it quickly digs deeper into their souls. This author is exceptional in her descriptions which enable the reader to truly feel the emotions in these characters. The only problem was that the story ended too soon. I truly enjoyed SIZZLE. Katherine Garbera is a genuinely inspiring author with a wonderful and vivid imagination.
