Celia was raised in a tropical land called Ceylon on her father's plantation estate. After her parents death, her Aunt Gertrude and her Uncle take her back to London. Her Aunt being a very nasty woman, makes sure that Celia knows there is no love lost between them. Aunt Gertrude raises her on her own very strict rules, even too strict for the Ton. On Ceylon, Celia had grown up with Ronald, whom she was to marry when of age and her sinister Aunt tries all different tricks to make sure she benefits from Celia's future.
But luck comes to Celia from her Aunt Willie, her father's sister. Willie takes Celia under her wing, and teaches her how life truly will be for her, and that Celia can have a happy life. Her Aunt Willie needs help in protecting and guiding Celia, so she asks her step-son Grant Hamilton, who of course is reluctant to help Willie, but once he sets his sights on the beautiful Celia from Ceylon with her innocent hot gypsy blood, he's willing and able to help. Grant senses a kindred spirit in the stunning, copper-eyed beauty and has no trouble escorting her through the Ton's social gatherings. He tries to resist an intense passion that flows between them for it can only lead to ecstasy or ruin.
There comes a time when Celia wants to go back to visit her childhood home in Ceylon. She is very aware that her childhood sweet heart awaits her, for they are destined to marry, but Celia is very confused between Grant who sets her soul afire and mixed feelings about Ronald, her childhood friend whom she's to marry. I loved this read, lot's of characters, gypsys who will protect Celia from harm, and who also want revenge for her mother's death, so many years ago.
So will Celia chose Grant who sends fire through her body when they touch, or will she chose her childhood friend Ronald? THE TEA PLANTER'S BRIDE is a must read with a lot of secrets, action and love.
