Brogan Campbell has lived in Kentucky at a Bed and
Breakfast owned by Mercedes Mackay and her daughters for
over two years. During those two years he has been
undercover as a biker, investigating the motorcycle touring
group, traitor and thief, he has also been quietly watching
over Eve Mackay. His "boss", Chatham Doogan III, has been
pushing him to get even closer to the NAUTI TEMPTRESS
because she is the key to his case.
Five years earlier Eve, her mother Mercedes and sisters
Lyrica, Zoey and Piper had been introduced to their
surprised brother Dawg Mackay. He hadn't known they existed
until Timothy Cranston; Department of Homeland Security
found them after everything they owned had been taken by
DHS due to the crimes of their father. With Mercedes ill
and four teenage daughters Cranston brought them to where
he knew they would get help. Dawg was never able to turn
his back on family and neither would the cousins Rowdy and
Natches.
Now a college grad and working with her mother at the B&B
and doing odd jobs as waitress for the family restaurant
and a friends' bar, Eve is at peace with the changes in her
life. Or she would be if it weren't for the sexy Brogan
Campbell that lives next door and helps out with odd jobs
at the B&B. She has been warned about him by her brother
and he even makes her promise not to see him but it's a
promise she knows she's not going to be able to keep. In
her heart she believes in Brogan but there's so many
against him that she is confused.
Brogan wants the NAUTI TEMPTRESS like no other but he also
doesn't want to involve her in his operation, but when
his "boss", dares to ask Eve out, Brogan explodes. He
practically kidnaps her and in a private setting they burn
up the sheets together but things fall apart with hints of
distrust on his side and facts on his investigation come to
light. Brogan has to set up protection for the Mackay men
who are being dragged into the investigation just as Doogan
wants. Only he hasn't wanted them protected he wants them
owing him. Most important of all he has to set things right
with Eve. He has to let the past go, let the pain go and
learn to let the love he feels come out.
NAUTI TEMPTRESS is an unquestionably burning hot read but
with the strong family bonds the Nauti books are known for.
I have read all of this series and this is one of the best.
If I had any complaint it would be that toward the end it
got a little confusing when it comes to light just how many
people are undercover. On the bright side with three more
sisters in this book readers of these bestsellers can
hope we see their stories in future Nauti books.
They were resourceful, beautiful, and intuitive-three female FBI recruits enlisted to expose a treacherous anti-government conspiracy in a sting gone bad. They may have escaped the perils of the mission, but darkness still follows them? Abigail Foxe was the communications expert. The nightmare of her captivity still fills her with fear and shame. But now in tranquil Somerset, on the calm waters of Cumberland Lake, she has hope for the future. It begins with the exquisite touch of a stranger on the beach?. He?s Brogan Connors, ex-Marine haunted by his own dreams of war, looking for solitude in his family?s old farm, and in the heart of a fragile woman. His rough exterior hides a tender soul, a man of gentle strokes that draw him deeper into Abigail?s most ravenous fantasies, and deeper still into a web of a danger he never saw coming. For the past is about to invade Abigail?s tenuous peace, threatening her life and that of the man she loves-as desire and danger are locked in an inescapable embrace.
