Romance Suspense

Shay Morgan has lived a reclusive life for a long time. Earths End, Alaska is as far from the trauma of her childhood as she could get but the past seems to be creeping back into her new world. Her lifeline to the world is the computer and it is there that she finds that someone is trying to take over her life. Someone is pretending to be her on Facebook, signing books that Shay has written under a pseudonym, even going so far as to fire her long time agent and that's just the beginning. Shay had her life STOLEN once before and it's not going to happen again.

Elliot Winter is Shay's ex-boyfriend but it wasn't his choice to be the ex. He was tired of ramming his head against the brick wall in which she protected herself. He wanted to know the real Shay. He had no way of knowing just how much he didn't know. Someone out there was targeting him with false accusations, reminiscent of his past. Whoever it is seems to know a lot about him and his past.

As her past, much of which she has forgotten or had been too young to retain, comes back with a vengeance. She and Elliot must rely on each other. Will it be possible for Shay to let down her guard enough to let herself trust Elliot? There are things that happened in her life that she doesn't want to remember but she knows she will have no choice if they want their lives back. Will Elliot still stand by her and continue to love her when he learns the truth?

STOLEN is a gritty, fast paced suspense novel by bestselling author Shiloh Walker. Elliot was the perfect foil for Shay. He is strong, ex-military, alpha type but he knew how to stand by her side and not take over even when his instincts told him to do just that. I believe the revelation of the past that Shay had lived through would have been too much if it hadn't been given to us in small flashbacks. Ms. Walker has a special way of putting words on pages that keep you turning them. She will have you crying over the things the child suffered and cheering as the couple triumph over the evil that had beset them. Another winner.

SUMMARY

Shay Morgan has stayed hidden for a long time. Living a reclusive life in Earth’s End, Alaska, she’s as far away as she can get from the trauma of her childhood and the man who hurt her long ago. But terror takes over Shay’s life yet again when an unknown stalker steals away the fragile peace she’s built for herself—targeting not only her but the one man who’s ever managed to get past the walls she’s built around herself. Elliot Winter has lived through being falsely accused before—it ruined his military career. Now it’s happening all over again. And this time, his accuser is a twisted impostor who’s targeting his ex-girlfriend, Shay. Despite a fierce mutual attraction, Shay and Elliot broke up because Shay couldn’t let her guard down, couldn’t let Elliot in. But now they both need to trust each other to confront a psycho who seems to know all their secrets.
