Meet Samantha Blair, psychic extraordinaire. She experiences
visions, but they're in real time and are of the most
horrific kind. It seems that she is plunged into the bodies
of murder victims as they're being attacked and killed.
Physically, she exhibits all of the symptoms of the victims
to include experiencing the injuries and bleeding. Even
though she heals within minutes of the victim's death when
she re-enters her own world, these are starting to take a
real toll on her health.
There's a new serial killer in town and he's killing women
with a vengeance. Sam is locked into him for some reason,
which means that she becomes each of his victims, at least
while he's killing them. When she decides to visit the local
police department to report what she's seen psychically,
she's pretty much dismissed as crazy person. That is until
Detective Brandt Sutherland gets involved.
Brandt has worked with well-renowned psychic Stefan Kronos
for several years and has become good friends with him. Once
Brandt meets with Sam and hears what she's been
experiencing, he feels that she needs to get in touch with
Stefan. What she goes through each time she has a vision
needs to be controlled and Stefan can teach her how to do
that. As the visions get worse and the victims are mounting,
Sam is also dealing with an evil person from her past that
has now found her and means to do her harm.
Sam is eventually introduced to Stefan Kronos and discovers
that they already share a very strong connection. Stefan is
amazed at her abilities and agrees to help train her in
controlling the visions. He tells Brandt later that there
are only a handful of people in the world with the level of
abilities that Sam has and that she must learn to control
them or they may destroy her.
While the search for the serial killer is going on, Brandt
and Sam become attracted to each other. The danger and the
special personality of Sam, draw the two of them together
even closer. Before they know it, they've fallen in love,
but aren't ready to admit what their feelings are. All they
know is that they want to be together, but can that happen
with all of the danger surrounding them?
I loved TUESDAY'S CHILD! I couldn't stand to stop reading it
and when I wasn't reading it, I was thinking about it! Truly
the sign of a great book. Dale Meyer hooks you from the
first sentence and doesn't let you go until the last page. I
was so sorry to see this book end because I really wanted
more of Sam and Brandt. The side characters in the book were
also very entertaining and I, as the reader, felt very much
a part of the story. Happily, Dale Mayer has written other
books in the PSYCHIC VISIONS series that I'll be reading next.
What she doesnt want...is exactly what he needs. Shunned and ridiculed all her life for something she cant control, Samantha Blair hides her psychic abilities and lives on the fringes of society. Detective Brandt Sutherland only trusts hard evidence, yet Sams visions offer clues he needs to catch a killer. The more he learns about her incredible abilities, however, the clearer it becomes that Sams visions have put her in the killers line of fire. Now Brandt must save her from something he cannot see or understandand risk losing his heart in the process. As danger and desire collide, passion raises the stakes in a game Sam and Brandt dont dare lose.
