In WOLF NIP Tessa Williams, a cougar shifter, wants to
change her life. She's okay with the family cruise business
but now she has a plan for her own future. She wants to
move to Haines, Alaska and turn a landlocked paddle wheeler
into a B&B. The only problem is the owner won't sell. She
has no choice but to go there and try to talk him into it.
Mark Weaver, a wolf shifter, lives in the paddle wheeler
and he can't sell. It really belongs to his grandfather and
if he were to sell out the boat would be destroyed and only
the land would be sold.
There is a way to please both of them. He's completely gung-
ho about the B&B idea especially after meeting Tessa face
to face and his wolf practically jumps her on the spot.
Tessa can live in the boat and they can be partners in the
B&B, after all she is his mate. It is unfortunate, that she
isn't into the instant "you belong to me" mating that the
wolves accept. Her cat wants to be romanced, to be loved.
Mark promises her that he will give her time to accept him.
The only thing he can do is work on the renovations and
keep away from her because every time he's near her his
wolf howls and practically begs. Will he be able to survive
until Tessa accepts them as a couple? Will she ever accept
him?
WOLF NIP is a fast paced, utterly enjoyable story. It
centers mostly on the couple and their reaction to each
other and trying to come up with a compromise that will
please them both. The author [Vivian Arend] has a vividly
descriptive way with words that lets readers really
picture the characters and scenes in the book as well as
feel what the characters are feeling. This is book 6 of
the Granite Lake Wolves and I hope there are many
more to
come.
Tessa Williams is looking to make her mark outside the
family business, and the unusual landlocked paddle wheeler
she spots in Haines, Alaska, strikes her as the perfect
location. Only the owner is being difficult, refusing to
sell. Still, she’s sure that replacing her written queries
with a little in-person charm is all she’ll need to shortly
have her Eco-tour B&B on the road to success.
Local wolf-slash-owner of said vessel, Mark Weaver, isn’t
hanging on to the landmark building out of spite. There are
more reasons for holding back the sale than are easily
explained on paper. A face-to-face meeting to resolve the
matter only confounds it—when Mark recognizes Tessa as his mate.
But she’s a cat...and cats don’t do insta-mates.
The sexual attraction between them isn’t in question, just
everything else. He wants her. She wants twue wuv. His wolf
can’t figure out what the holdup is. Her cat thinks the
entire situation, and the pack, are rather amusing.
Somewhere in here is the beginning of a beautiful
relationship—if they don’t drive each other mad.
Warning: One hyper cat, one laid-back wolf. Inappropriate
use of permanent markers, and a heaping side dish of cat/dog
jokes. Shenanigans (read: nookie) in front of a roaring
fire. Spiced liberally with sarcasm. Enjoy!
