Romance

Alexa Conroy has made some big sacrifices in her life. She sold her dream house and moved into a run-down efficiency apartment with broken air conditioning, plumbing problems, and spiders the size of small dogs living in her closet. All so she could keep her flower shop afloat and fight against her biggest competition Value Hardware. Dillon James works as the handyman for Alexa's new apartment building. He works construction, building houses in addition to working as a handyman. And in his spare time he helps build and remodel houses for disabled veterans. But Dillon is also hiding a secret, his family owns Value Hardware and with his family retiring he is being called on to start taking a more active role in the business. Alexa and Dillon navigate a growing attraction while trying to save Alexa's business. With Dillon's help Alexa finds the confidence to grow her business and start to see a profit. Dillon tries to hide his connection to Value Hardware while juggling his construction business, charity work, handyman business, and growing romance with Alexa. Will Dillon be able to keep his secret from Alexa? Will their romance survive the truth? NO FLOWERS REQUIRED is a sweet, romantic story with spot on character development. Ms. Quinn did a great job with her plot development and descriptions. I was pulled right into the story as soon as I started reading and had a hard time putting the book down.

SUMMARY

Flower shop owner Alexa Conroy had it all before the recession hit and her customers fled to cheaper shopping grounds. Desperate to make ends meet, she sells her dream home and moves into the rundown apartments above her shop. When she spots six feet of sexy distraction—complete with muscles, piercings, and tattoos—ripping up flooring, Alexa knows the karmic windfall she’s due just landed on her doorstep. And the attraction’s definitely not one-sided. Dillon James, reluctant heir to the corporation about to foreclose on Alexa’s shop, is not about to jeopardize their scorching chemistry by admitting he’s not the building’s handyman. But with only weeks until her business goes under and his identity is revealed, Dillon must find a way to convince Alexa cooperation isn’t a dirty word, help her save the shop from his brother’s greed, and persuade her that he’s not the enemy…or risk losing the only woman who’s seen the real him.
