The time has finally come for the battle between good
versus
evil, the chosen ones versus the Others. The lines have
been drawn and the seven chosen ones are down one of their
own, Aleksander Wilder who suddenly disappeared. The
legends states they need all seven in order to defeat the
others but the remaining six won't give up until they win
or die trying. While fighting the demons that are on the
loose another of the chosen, Charisma Fanghorn is lost to
them, when she gets trapped below ground in the tunnels.
With the bite of a demon snake Charisma fears her end is
near until she is saved by a man who appears to be part
beast. The beast is called Guardian and Charisma wakes up
in his chambers deep underground. Charisma knows she should
be terrified but instead the Guardian intrigues her. As
Charisma heals from her injuries she opens up to Guardian
and longs to touch his body and his soul. Charisma knows
she must get better and get back into the fight but for now
she needs to heal with the Guardian and who knows maybe she
can help heal him as well.
The Guardian doesn't remember his past. The only thing he
knows is someone did something to him to make him the beast
he is today. His head has a metal piece in it that he knows
must have been part of the experiment. The Guardian
protects those who live in the tunnels and they provide for
him. The existence is hard but he was managing fine until
he rescued a little bit of a thing and brought her to his
home. Guardian is captivated by Charisma and longs to be
with her as a man, but he is sure she will never see past
his furry exterior to the heart of a man.
In the epic finale of the chosen ones series WILDER brings
us the ultimate battle of good versus evil. I was thrilled
to see the Wilder family from the Dark Chosen series play a
part in the final confrontation. I was enchanted with the
scenes between Aleksander and Charisma while they were in
his cavern. It was like an updated version of beauty and
the beast with a twist. WILDER was the perfect ending to
the five Dark Chosen and four Chosen Ones series. Thank you
Christina Dodd for hours upon hours of pure enjoyment in
the fantastical and unique world of the chosen.
