Emily Todd is owner of "Bucket List 101" in Wisconsin.
Her drawings as a 10 year old depicted her dreams,
especially that of being carried away by her prince to his
castle. Diagnosed 6 months ago with MS shattered those
plans. Refusing to give in to her disease, Emily fights
back and teaches rock climbing, kayaking and all forms of
outdoor activities in her business. All her drawings have
come true through her determination. When the gorgeous Mark
Reynolds joins one of her classes, he is blown away by her
beauty and tremendous personality.
Mark lost a wife 6 months prior to cancer and is consumed
with guilt that he left his then 4 year old son to deal with
his mother's death by himself. It was easier for Mark to
stay in denial. His son Seth is completely enthralled with
Emily when they meet her on the beach. Becoming physically
and emotionally involved with Emily, Mark realizes he cannot
put his son through losing another person that he loves and
distances himself from her. Denying himself the love and
life he yearns to have with Emily does an about face when
Seth turns up missing. When Emily is responsible for
finding Seth will Mark ever be able to atone for his earlier
actions and will Emily be willing to give him another chance
for a fulfilling life?
I truly loved STORYBOOK DAD. Be sure to keep a very full
box of Kleenex beside you. This heart wrenching tale of a
very lonely and protective father striving to do the best
for his motherless son is chucked full of nostalgia and
sadness. I thoroughly enjoyed the education and insight
into the disease of MS. STORYBOOK DAD is a fantastic
heartfelt story! I will
absolutely seek out more stories from Laura Bradford.
Real Life Is Not A Fairy Tale...Right?
When Mark Reynolds first meets Emily Todd, he's smitten. So
is Seth, his son-which is why Mark has to nip this
attraction in the bud. Emily's been honest about her
diagnosis, and Mark can't put Seth through the heartbreak of
another illness. Even though Emily is fit, sexy and oh-so-
alive.
Mark's as close as any man's come to being the prince Emily
imagined when she was a girl, right down to the gorgeous,
ocean-blue eyes. But that girl never imagined herself with
MS. Emily doesn't want to be anyone's burden, and she
doesn't want to hurt Mark's vulnerable son. So she'll harden
her heart, stick to her work and forget about the magic of
Mark's touch.
Can two grown-ups with their minds made up learn a lesson in
love from a four-year-old boy?
