How would you feel if you had a suspicion that your entire
life was a lie? What would you do if you had no one to
answer your questions? This is what happened to Zoe Adams
when she saw a picture of herself on an Unsolved Mystery TV
show.
The little redheaded girl on the show was kidnapped from a
rich family in Texas and her body was recovered. But Zoe
recognizes the picture and swears it's of her. What if
there was a mistake and SHE is that kidnapped child and
never knew it?
Zoe travels to Texas to try to figure things out by spying
on the people who she thinks are her real family. She
meets a PI named Tyler Lopez who works at a private
investigator firm called Only in Texas. With Tyler's help
Zoe hopes to uncover the truth about her life and finally
have some answers.
She only plans on being in Texas until the case is solved,
so when chemistry starts flying between her and Tyler, Zoe
puts her game face on. There is no way she will fall for
this sexy PI, no way, at all. But Tyler is smitten with Zoe
and he will do whatever it takes to win her heart. Will
Zoe and Tyler uncover the truth about her identity or will
their flirtation get in the way and ruin everything?
BLAME IT ON TEXAS is the second book that follows the lives
of the sexy PI's that run Only in Texas. It can be read
independently though and stands alone. When I first
started BLAME IT ON TEXAS, I didn't think it would blow me
away
like it did. Behind this innocent romance cover is so much
depth and an excellent story!
After having just recently read a book where the romance
happened way too soon without any room for chemistry
development, I was absolutely thrilled with the way
Christie Craig gave her characters TIME to get to know each
other. The flirtation between Zoe and Tyler was intense
and my favorite part of BLAME IT ON TEXAS. As the reader,
you know
they are both crazy about each other but Zoe's refusal to
get involved with him keeps the reader interested.
BLAME IT ON TEXAS has a great mystery element, very
steamy sex scenes, intense chemistry, a love connection
that you can't help but root for, and best of all it is
funny! BLAME IT ON TEXAS actually made me smile and laugh.
I absolutely loved every page of this book.
The writing flows at a fast pace and there are no boring
moments. The mystery keeps you constantly guessing to
figure out the outcome. If you are looking for a
contemporary romance that will make you swoon, smile,
laugh, and just put you in a great mood, BLAME IT ON TEXAS
is without a doubt that book. I am so glad I read it and I
look forward to the next story, TEXAS HOLD 'EM!
SUMMARY
Zoe Adams has always been content with her quiet nights at home, watching TV alone-until her life turns into a real-life episode of Unsolved Mystery Hunters. The story of a kidnapped girl triggers unexplained memories, and Zoe is dead-set on figuring out why. Her search leads her to one of the Lone Star State's richest families-and to sexy PI Tyler Lopez. Tyler has sworn off women, especially redheads with killer curves who poke their noses into his clients' private lives. Still, he can't deny the attraction any more than he can deny that some of Zoe's crazy story makes sense. But when she becomes a hit man's target, this cold case starts heating up. Suddenly, Tyler will do anything to protect Zoe-even risk his heart.
