Romance

Wyatt Locke returns to the Last Chance Ranch in Shoshone, Wyoming in hopes of forming a relationship with his half-brother, Jack Chance. Jack, was abandoned by their mother Diana at age 4. He hated the loss of his mother and felt jealous that she left him and started a new family consisting of twin boys. Wyatt's twin, Rafe, doesn't have the same interest in finding the lost relatives. Jack, on the other hand, wants nothing to do with his half-brothers, thinking they only strive to share in the Chance family's wealth. Wyatt actually has his own profitable business in San Francisco, Adventure Trekking. Depending upon the outcome, Wyatt is prepared to relocate his business to Wyoming in hopes of strengthening his relationship with his new family. Meeting the sexy Olivia Sedgewick places an unexpected facet to Wyatt's visit. Olivia is at the ranch to give manicures and pedicures to the woman as a ladies night out. The men are all attending an affair to sell their horses and will be gone a few days. Coerced into staying at the ranch and helping the women during an electrical outage caused by a storm, he and Olivia pass serious sexual innuendoes back and forth throughout the evening. Finding Wyatt devastatingly hot and classified as serious eye candy, she encourages him. Learning that Olivia has been engaged 3 times and dropped them all has Wyatt proceeding with caution. Finding time to engage in mind numbing sex, both realize this could become something permanent. Upon his return, Jack is furious at Wyatt's appearance and orders him off his land. Giving up reconciliation with Jack, he plans an overnight camping spree with Olivia prior to his departure, which will be the catalyst for turning his world on its axis. LONG ROAD HOME is another tale in the Sons of Chanceseries. Strap yourself in for some witty dialogue and blood hot sex between Wyatt and Olivia. I have read several of the Last Chance Ranch stories and have fallen in love with all the characters. LONG ROAD HOME is truly an exciting story laced with nostalgia and emotion of times past. Vicki Lewis Thompson continues to amaze me with her new installments of Chance family saga.

SUMMARY

Wyatt Locke believes in second chances. Sure, meeting his half brother last year was a complete disaster—but blood is blood, right? Now Wyatt is returning to the Last Chance Ranch to try to make peace with a family he hardly knows…. Then he comes across beautician Olivia Sedgewick stranded on the side of the road. As it turns out, most of the Chance clan is away for the weekend, and Olivia proves to be a very delicious and sexy distraction. But as his brother's return draws closer, Wyatt has to decide. Can he leave this cowboy life—and Olivia—behind? Or would the ranch be the setting of Wyatt's last stand?
