Paralegal Finley Anderson Tanner is ecstatic to think she has a date with her sexy new boss. When she shows up at his house dressed to the max, her expectations fall flat when she realizes he wants her to babysit his daughter while he goes out with someone else. Of course, private eye Liam McGarrity, who has an annoying (and so far unrequited) relationship with Finley, thinks this is hilarious.

Having spent a fortune on her dress for the non-date, Finley must come up with some cash fast. Having recently been given some vintage pageant jewelry by one of the law firm's partners, Finley puts it up for auction on eBay. Since she's going to be out of town at her sister's lavish wedding when the high-bidder is supposed to pick up the jewelry and deliver the cash, Finley asks her best friend to handle the transaction. When Finley returns, the cash is there, but her best friend has disappeared. Frantic to find her, Finley starts searching for clues on her own, not wanting Liam to be involved. But of course (and again!) he has to save her cute little butt before it gets into too much trouble.

Oh, what a pleasure it is to read each new book in this fun series! Rhonda Pollero writes with rapid-fire wit and a cunning sense of humor as Finley becomes involved in ever more hilarious exploits. This is another not-to-be missed book by this talented author.
