Talk about the proverbial odd couple, the one that no sane
reputable person would put money down as a good idea, a
winner - well that just about describes Devon McKee and
Kylie Kent. But they weren't really what many considered a
couple. They were a couple of somewhat bruised by life
people looking for an escape into a world of hot bone
melting sex with no holds barred and no love everlasting to
muddy the picture. Well be careful what you ask for. No
doubting the sex was what dreams were made of and left both
Kylie and Devon looking forward to their next tryst even
though Kylie was reluctant to admit that even to herself.
Each time with Devon was absolutely going to be the last,
after all she had desires yes but she also had standards.
Her fiancé Jack had left her feeling wounded and lacking in
the romance department. Still smarting from that breakup she
was intrigued by the blatant sexual advances of the rock
star in black leather pants, Dev, who clearly saw her
differently than the staid bank representative that looked
back at her from her mirror. There was no denying the heat
between these two really different people. Interestingly
Devon came from a more nurturing home life than did Kylie
and when he first laid eyes on her it wasn't with just a
desire for another in a long line of one night stands. No
for the first time Devon was leading with his heart. Scary
proposition for an ex-rock band member turned restaurateur
whose entire savings was at risk in this venture. But as
Devon got to know more about this polished businesswoman the
more he saw how insecure she actually was in matters of the
heart. Rather than face getting hurt again she was adamantly
set on putting up barriers between the two of them. Devon
couldn't ever remember a time when he had to work so hard to
get a woman, but then again he had never wanted any woman as
much as Kylie, and this time it was definitely for all the
right reasons. The problem was how to get her to see past
his appearance and see the truth. He was her Mr. Right. Of
course he had flaws, doesn't everyone but when it came to
Kylie he was going to do anything to get her to look past
those to a future together.
Get ready for a hot steamy roll in the hay - well maybe not
hay but anyplace convenient will do - witty, heartwarming
unconventional love story. You are sure to love the easy
banter between two slightly insecure characters as well as
the really interesting supporting cast. Karen Kendall had me
at page one with BLAME IT ON THE BACHELOR.
Being led astray never felt better
Banker Kylie Kent is looking for a hookup. Granted, a
rehearsal dinner isn't the best place to find a little
man-action until she spots Devon McKee. Devon is all
temptation, right down to his melt-your-panties smile that
always gets him what—and who—he wants.
And he wants Kylie. But after a scorching encounter, Kylie
makes it clear this is a one-time deal. That is, until she
learns that she's his account manager.
That could spell disastrous results for her upwardly mobile
career. Worse, Devon's sinful suggestions that they chase
their business with a giant shot of pleasure can't be
ignored. Would it be so wrong to give in and blame it on the
bachelor?
