Having spent her entire life in her Regent father's shadow, Sasha Willis is determined to clean up the mess in Seattle left by Kincade, a former Regent, and break gender barriers by proving that she's worthy of becoming the first female Regent. Sasha knew the Paladins had Kaliths, enemies from the other side of the barrier, living among them, but she never thought they'd been giving free reign of the place. When her life is saved by a Kalith, her perception of the enemy begins to change, as do her feelings.
Larem Jones knows that as a Kalith, he's not accepted by all Paladins, just those he calls friends. Feelings of not belonging torment Larem, as does his helplessness in helping his people. He knows the last thing he should be doing is getting close to Sasha, who could end his existence in an instant, but he can't resist her. As their relationship deepens, it fuels the already deep hatred amongst those who hate the Kalith. Loyalties will be tested and the ultimate test will decide which is greater; love or hate.
BOUND BY DARKNESS, the seventh book in Alexis Morgan's hugely popular and addictive Paladin series, takes on prejudice and what happens when two people from two different worlds manage to come together and find the ultimate love. I thought the lead pair in this story was perfectly matched. The fireworks between the two are explosive. I also loved that we got to catch up with characters from previous books and get a glimpse into how life is treating them and their happily ever afters. Anyone who is a fan of this series or is looking for an exciting new series to start will thoroughly enjoy BOUND BY DARKNESS.
