Mikhail is tortured. He knows he must find his lifemate, but has not idea where to look. When he more or less happens upon Raven, his reaction is priceless. He is a powerful being and ruler of the proud Carpathian people and highly enigmatic and sensual. The reader will immediately warm up to Raven, but Mikhail might take some time.

Raven will come off as intelligent and cautious, she doesn't quite know what to make of this man demanding that she is his for all of eternity. The reader will both love and despise Mikhail's placating tones and growing demands. DARK PRINCE mainly focuses on these two characters and their growing love for each other. Their romance isn't all sweetness and light, there are plenty of bumps along the way that actually make this book a fun story. Some of the dialogue is amusing while other times it is very sexual. The reader will enjoy the action and evil vampires (ex-Carpathians) along the way. The reader will find themselves entranced with the tale of the Carpathians and eagerly rush to pick up Feehan's next novel.
