Anne and Jack are spies in a dangerous time. One kiss leads the two into a lifetime of desire and hope. They truly love each other and the reader will be rooting for them as they perform their jobs effortlessly and with pride. The reader will love the high-energy, fast-paced scenes where the outcome is uncertain. Jack and Anne know Washington depends on their success to help the war effort and they make the reader believe in patriotism to the extreme. Anne and Jack are extremely brave, loyal, and caring. They truly love each other, yes, but they also love their country. The reader will feel inspired by their mutual love of their country. The events are fast-paced, it is a war after all! THE TURNING OF ANNE MERRICK is not entirely predictable, there are some twists and surprises for the reader. Christine Blevins writes very well and a manages to combine romance with action to create a cohesive novel. The reader will love reading about Anne and Jack's adventures, even when they are apart. Readers who enjoy romance, but prefer another plot besides just the romance will love THE TURNING OF ANNE MERRICK.
