When the diary goes missing in his possession, he must explain himself to the anxiously waiting Charlotte. Their encounter quickly turns into more of a romantic trist and Charlotte suffers a scandal that only a proposal will help repair. The Duke gives in, but he knows that he must discover the location of that diary before Charlotte is truly humiliated.

The reader will have a hard time putting THE DUCHESS DIARIES down. Charlotte is a likable and funny character who will make the reader shake their head and laugh at the same time. The Duke can be slightly annoying at times since he doesn't think highly of all women, but he does grow on the reader. The mystery will permeate the book with an undercurrent of suspense and the reader will enjoy guessing as to where the diary may be. The romantic encounters are sexy, but not a constant presence in the book. Romance fans should pick THE DUCHESS DIARIES up for a light, endearing read.
