The latest Catherine Coulter novel focuses on James and Jason. Corrie and Judith are the love interests. James and Jason have been sowing their wild oats repeatedly and are beginning to slow down. The reader will get to know these enthusiastic twins very quickly, within the first couple of chapters. Corrie and Judith have similar personalities, they are brave to get involved the the Sherbrooke boys, mysterious and exciting enough to keep them coming back, and with a flair for the dramatic.
Not all is perfect for the young lovers though. Jason and James discover that someone is trying to kill their father. They believe it may be the children of a French spy seeking revenge. They turn their attention to capturing the possible killers and finding a reason. The romance is not abandoned though, much to the readers' enjoyment. Their growing relationships are endearing, the women do not fall for the Sherbrooke twins instantaneously, it is more gradual. Their romance is sweet at times and steamy at others.
Coulter always infuses her novels with excitement and fresh romance, the reader can look forward towards humorous conversations, believable love scenes, and fulfilling endings. THE SHERBROOKE TWINS is a fast-read and the reader will be hard-pressed to put it down. The mystery adds to the romance by giving it a slightly edgier quality. Any Coulter fan will enjoy this novel!
