The holidays are not a time for joy for Sue Ann Simpkins. Trying to come to grips with her financial situation, as well as custody problems with her ex-husband, there is just not a lot to celebrate this year, in Sue Ann's mind. It's going to take a Christmas miracle to get her in the festive spirit of the season, and to her surprise -- that miracle just might come in the form of an old friend who is in the need of a little Christmas cheer himself.
Adam Becker is the owner of the Christmas tree lot in town, but he's more Scrooge than Santa's helper this year. He's missing his twin boys, and is just feeling a bit bah-humbug about the whole holiday season -- that is, until he accidentally meets up with Sue Ann Simpkins. Suddenly, everything seems a bit more merry and bright -- he just has to convince Sue Ann that it is possible to find a bit of Christmas love that will endure.
Toni Blake gives a nod to the classic Charles Dicken's novel, "A Christmas Carol," with this charming story, and it works so well here! The characters are a joy to get to know, and all the residents of Destiny are back to lend their voices to this contemporary romance that will leave you all warm and fuzzy inside! I truly enjoyed HOLLY LANE!
