Tuesday Jones, the main character of this novel, suffered
the loss of her father and takes it hard. She gets a
little too much into drinking at times in the novel and can
be a little careless of others' feelings. However, she is
a generally fun and nice character. Diesel, an ex-racing
star, is the love interest of the story. He is suffering
from a racing injury and needs an extra boost to believe in
himself; however, he tends to ooze with confidence and sex
appeal. As a "hero," Diesel steps up to the plate
wonderfully.
The reader will love to follow Diesel's and Tuesday's
relationship as it grows and develops. Their love will
appear genuine and healthy, even enviable. The secondary
characters of this novel serve to round out the novel, but
are not focused on too much.
The events are fast-paced, there are highs and lows,
disappointments and successes. The author injects an edge
of suspense into the plot that will drive the plot and
characters throughout the story. This book is a terrific
beach or long car-ride read.
As a tribute to her late journalist father, Tuesday Jones is
planning a career benefit, auctioning off racing memorabilia
and meet-and-greets with drivers. Ex-racing star Diesel
Lange has had his own brush with death, and is determined
not to waste another minute of his life- especially when he
meets Tuesday. He wants nothing more than to shift their
romance into high gear, but he knows she's still grieving.
Can Diesel do the one thing he could never do on the track
and take it slow?
